At All for Stone, our approach to cleaning porcelain tiles, especially in outdoor situations such as patios, may be a little different to others. Porcelain has seen a rapid growth in the market and for good reason; it has all the benefits of natural stone with few of the problems, it is durable, frost proof and easy to maintain. It is available in a large array of colours and size formats it is easy to find a porcelain that will suite your application.
A common approach for cleaning chemical companies it to take one of their existing cleaners and simply slap the word ‘porcelain’ in front of it. We think this misses the point; given that most porcelain is resistant to most cleaning chemicals, it is the nature of the dirt that requires removing that should be the focus of a given cleaning solution.
For example, brand new installations the most likely contaminant is going to be grout haze (a fine film of cement residue, often polymer-modified, left on the surface after grouting) along with other building site-type contamination. Or, for established porcelain patios, that have perhaps suffered a little neglect, exposure to the elements and are perhaps covered in green or black organic staining. These two scenarios require very different cleaning products, and at All for Stone, we already have, tried, tested and proven products for just such situations (read on for our recommendations).
In between these two extremes, is where we feel the need for a general-purpose maintenance cleaner, and that is where our Porcelain Tile Cleaner comes in; to cater for everything from routine maintenance cleaning, right up to periodic deep cleaning, without the need to fall back on harsh chemicals.
Porcelain Tile Cleaner by All for stone is a highly concentrated, high performance cleaner deigned to clean porcelain – and don’t forget, any associated grout joints. Use dilute (and you can dilute this product up to 20 times), and you have a very economical ‘every day’ cleaner. Use it stronger, although still dilute for periodic deep cleaning, removing grease from grout joints (for example around BBQ areas) and ingrained grime dirt from your porcelain tiled areas, and all without the need for harsh chemicals.
In summary:
Use for all Porcelain, natural stone, grout, ceramic tile, masonry, concrete, pavers and more. For both exterior and interior situations. For new work and cement/grout residue removal use Grout Haze Plus. For the seasonal cleaning of organic staining, black spot and algae use Patio Deep Clean.
